This photo shows the view from the new kitchen looking into the new dining area (old living room). The old fireplace on the right has been removed. The exposed wall at the far end is the rear wall of the garage.
I was interested to discover that the living area side of the house was originally tiled with the same linoleum tiles that were used in the bedrooms. Apparently the entire floor was covered with the same material.
I have always read that Eichler used different flooring in the living vs. the bedroom areas, but not in our house. Perhaps the original owner specified the flooring to be the same throughout.
