The House | 2006 Interior Remodel

New glass in the master bathroom, and the removal of the wall and door that separated the shower / toilet area from the sink area, will dramatically enlarge the apparent space of the bathroom. These photos show the master bathroom exterior wall from the inside and outside.

A completely new window will be added above the sink that extends the full width of the vanity, replacing the mirror that was there. A small mirror that can swing out at an angle when needed will positioned at the left side of the vanity.

The original small window that was located in the exterior wall of the shower will be replaced with a metal-framed, glass door that opens to the outside (the sideyard on the right side of the house). On the narrow vertical strip of exterior wall, shown at the right, an outdoor shower will be mounted, with the shower controls placed to the right just under the new window. We will be able to walk through the inside shower, open the glass door, and take a shower outside. I will build an opaque glass privacy screen to enclose the outdoor shower area.

Continue to earthquake safety improvements.
